Original Songs from Harmony
Walk on the Water

Walk on the water,
walk through the sand.
Look for the answers,
where the sea meets the land.

I left the city, I came to the beach.
I hope the answers, are in reach.
I came to the ocean,
down by the beach.
To find the answers,
to search for peace.

And I touched the sunset,
there’s fire in the sky.
Walk on the water, walk on the sky.
It’s a magical moment;
it’s a special day.
Lost in time, forever in play.

Cast my fate on the water;
cast my fate to the wind.
Search for my faith ‘till I find her,
find my faithful friend.
Why wait ‘till the morning,
why hide from the sea?
Go seize the moment;
it’s time to be free.

The River of Beer

The river brought us here,
the river reigns supreme.
A round of drinks, keeps us here,
the king is in our dreams.
Rolling through the history,
the French left their mark.
Let’s build a monument,
let’s build an arch.

Rolling on the river
Ravioli for sinners
Baseball in the summer.
Only you can love her.

A tribute to our bravery,
a tribute to our dreams.
A trip to the top of the world,
built along the stream.
Neighbors who are stranger,
strangers lead the way.
This is where I was born
and  this is where I’ll stay.

Where did you go to school,
east side or the west?
In your mind, were you cool?
Were you the best?
If you had to start gain,
would you start right here?
Do you have regrets
by the river of beer?

The Maine Light

Don’t be afraid of the fading light,
Don’t be afraid of sounds in the night.
They will not stay, they will go away,
Find your rest at the end of the day.

Adrift in the ocean, alone at sea,
Where is the hope, for you and me?
A light so strong, a beam so bright,
A way back home, in spite of the night.

Look to the distance, a hopeful light,
A top the rocks in the blackened night.
A call to all who need a hand,
To find safe passage to her land.

She is calling to you,
she is calling to me,
She calls to the spirit that sets us free.
Day after day, year after year,
The call of the light will soothe all fears.

A light in the night, that shines so bright!

First Pew

Why don't you sit in the first pew,
sit in the first pew
you'll be closer to God.
Why don't you sit in the first pew,
sit in the first pew,
walk up that aisle it's not so hard.
More points for you if you l
eave that last pew,
Fill in the first row and
watch your faith grow.
Why don't you sit in the first pew,
sit in the first pew
you'll be closer to God.

Remember you're in Church to adore, not to be the first one out the door
God gets to see you once a week, sit in the first pew, give God a treat.

If you take that first place, God will remember your face
'Cause when you knock on that pearly gate door, God will say
"come in,  I've seen you before".

When you at your place of worship, remember it’s a lot like a spaceship.
When life feels a bit to hard, proclaim real loud, beam me up God!

Do I trust you?

Do I trust you, do I trust what you say?
Do I love you, do I feel it everyday?
And I don’t know the answers, my world is upside down.
And I do fear the answers,
afraid I’ll let you down.
And I wonder if the pain,
will ever settle down.
Do I trust you, do I trust you,
do I trust you?

I know you love me,
but the trust may be gone.
How do I love you?
I look to trust you in my song.
What’s the driving force that brings us close or scares us away?
What’s the fear inside that leaves me with nothing to say?
Can I bring myself to face
your honesty each day?
Do I need you, do I need you,
do I need you?

Do I trust me?
Do I trust what I am feeling?
Do I know what,
do I know what I am feeling?
Everyday I start anew,
which way will I go?
Do I go alone, my own way,
my fears I will not show.
Do I take the leap,
and love myself but this I do know:
I will love you, love you, I will love you.

Simple Song

On the mountain, live a people,
who work hard all year long
Live their lives by living simply,
and they sing a simple song

 Life is a simple act,
if you live and learn.
Love your neighbor, as your self,
and wait for your turn

Sing a simple, simple song,
and then you’ll belong.
To the family of happy people,
who believe in, the simple song.

Day by Day, you give more,
than you take, this is good.
If your spirits, they do break,
reach for others, this you should.

The Maine Lighthouse

The inspiration for this song is a lighthouse on the coast of Maine

Louisiana

The people are strong, they are alive
In spite of the odds they know
how to survive
The winds may blow and
the rains may pour
Yet listen to their hearts
as their spirits soar.

Louisiana, Louisiana,
Louisiana, I stand for ya.

Over there, in Baton Rouge,
the accent is Cajun, and so is the food.
Rollin’ in, to New Orleans
The music is gold,
if you know what I mean.

A river for the ages,
the Mississip is the queen
Down in the Bayou,
heaven or so it seems
A way of life,
a way to live
Louisiana has so much to give.

Roll on River

Roll on river roll on,
roll on into my town.
Before the night is through,
I'll be waiting,
yet you'll be gone.

The Muddy Mississippi is the anchor,
to my life's journey.
The years go on, though I'll be gone,
the river returns to me.

The river of life flows my way,
comes by most every day.
Gives me hope to live,
makes me want to give.

Voices from the past sail on through,
dreams of the future for me and you.
The river is my strength and my song,
the river will carry us along.

I got a lot on my mind

I got a lot on my mind.
There a lot of things to do.
There’s a world to be saved.
If they would just behave.
If I could just find the time.
There’s bills to be paid.
Deals to be made.
Some friend to be found.
The world will come around.
I am not afraid.

Second chances I believe in.
New ideas will conceive them.
New worlds will see them.
I got a lot on my mind

You know I got to walk the dog.
First I gotta find a dog.
Then will both go see the world.
Find him a girl.
He’ll have a lot on his mind.
I gotta find me a sunset.
One that I’ll won't forget.
With the crashing of the waves.
I hope that I’ll be saved.
I got a lot on my mind.

I gotta find me a song.
I don’t care how long.
It should bring tears to my eyes.
Like eagles in the sky.
I gotta sing me a song.
Making resolutions.
Breaking resolutions.
It’s  abrand new year,
to hell with all my fears,
I got a lot on my mind.

Building Bridges

Who will teach the children?
Who will let them play?
Who will feed the children?
Will they be ok?

Their smiling faces, hides their pain.
At the end of the day,
the song is the same.
What is our legacy, to our little ones?
Do we promise them the moon
and deliver none.

Building a bridge to a better world.
Hope filled schools
for all boys and girls.
Filled with people who love and care.
A love so free, a love so rare.
(Will you teach, will you dare?)

Can one person teach a child?
Can you do it in a day,
does it take a while?
A kind word here, and a gentle pat there. Who will teach, who will dare?

Teach them facts and
show them words.
The ways of the world
seems so absurd.
Show them how to live,
how to love and how to cope.
The greatest gift is the gift of hope.

The Bus Ride

Leaving New Orleans
in the middle of the night
Up through Mississippi
searching for a light.
Memphis appears if you look out
to the right.
Before dawn,
St. Louis will be in sight

All across America,
people find their way.
Some find it on the road,
some when they pray.
I went looking for my future,
sorry I couldn’t stay
I ran into my past by the end of the day.

I could take a train, or maybe a plane.
But if I must, I’ll take the bus,
the music is still the same.

Feeling pretty tired
when I passed the tire store.
Feeling kinda low when I
knew there wasn’t more.
Could not find the answers on the
street that does not bore.
If my God is not awake tonight,
who do I adore?

You know we couldn’t stop,
even if we had to go.
We were going pretty slow,
all because of the snow.
We almost were unlucky,
and needed a tow
I can’t seem to sleep in the 17th row.

This ride goes on and on
and I need a break.
If we have to make a choice,
what side would I take?
Is the love you take,
equal to the love you make?
I found what I needed on a bus ride f
or goodness sake.

I could take a train, or maybe a plane.
But if I must, I’ll take the bus,  the music is still the same.
